After a lengthy period of seclusion, online re[search], and preparation, the 2022 Integrated Design Program exhibition celebrates the re[vival] and re[naissance] of design through a personal lens. RE[SURGE] is a diverse collection of projects that re[imagines] what design can be. Grounded by our sense of community and friendships, it was essential to find words that express the positive outlook and that re[inforce] the Integrated Design Program as a framework for creative engagement, primarily via systems, services, and societies. Through RE[SURGE], our collective body of work re[interprets] themes, tasks, media, and projects that re[shape] what interdisciplinary and creative practice can accomplish. By re[defining] re[search]-based projects through inquisitive techniques and emergent strategies, we re[activate] our imagination to transform our prototypes, stories, and visions into vehicles that inspire. The Integrated Design class of 2022 presents our thesis exhibition, on view May 13-23, reception May 13, 5-7pm.
